James M. Copeland
Jim has been able to bring the full spectrum of his government experience and knowledge to organizations in many fields. Working in a bipartisan manner, he has helped secure passage of legislation reforming major telecommunications laws, welfare policy, and tax policy. He also has worked extensively with legislative and regulatory actions affecting commodity futures exchanges and financial institutions. In addition, Jim has taken a lead role in obtaining authorization and appropriations for major transit projects and housing programs. His expertise in transportation and financial services policy, as well as his intricate knowledge of state and local government representation, has led the firm to the successful implementation of a broad range of strategies tailored to each client’s needs. Jim is a past member of the Habitat for Humanity International Board of Directors and a principal with the Council for Excellence in Government. He holds a Bachelors degree from Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. |
